Outline Planning Schemes for Municipal Council Areas

The Municipal Outline Planning Schemes are approved statutory documents but they are completely outdated. Most of them date back to the early eighties. The capital city does not have any approved scheme whilst that of Vacoas-Phoenix dates back to 1996. As such they no longer respond to the present day's challenges and needs of a modern society, although they are under great pressure for development. Plans to review the schemes are being considered and funding sources identified.

The schemes may be made available for sale at the Town and Country Planning Board.
