National Development Strategy (NDS)

The national Development Strategy sets out the strategy VISIon for encouraging economic growth in the conurbation (the urban areas), the countryside and the coast whilst maintaining and enhancing the quality of the environment and striving for a more sustainable pattern of development. The focus is to concentrate future development in and around strategic growth clusters and in existing major settlements. It also sees closer integration of land use and transport planning mechanisms. The document is an important guide to channel investments.
