Wildlife and National Parks Act

Abstract

Part I of the Act deals with the Preliminary and Part II with the Wildlife and National Parks Advisory Council. Under section 4 of the Act the functions of the Advisory Council shall advise the Minister on any matter related to Wildlife, national parks, reserved land and conservation and in relation to the administration of this Act.

Part III deals with the National Parks and Conservation Service and Part IV with the National Parks and Special Reserves including the proclamation of national parks and special reserves (section 11).

The Protection of Fauna and Flora are dealt in Part V of the Act. Section 15 deals inter alia with the Protection of wildlife (section 15), birds (section 16).

Part VI deals with the Financial Provisions and Part VII deals with the Offences and penalties and powers including the power of entry and search and arrest.
