Pesticides (Packaging and Labelling)
Regulations 1978 GN No. 33 of 1978 Regulations made by
the Minister under section 33 of the Pesticides Control
Act, 1970 No
specified substance in liquid form shall be sold
except in a package which-- (a) (a) is of such a
size as to accommodate a label of twelve by twelve
centimetres;
(b)
(b) bears the word " POISON " embossed
on the package, (c) (c) is sealed to make it safe
to handle. No specified
substance in solid form shall be sold except in-
(a) a sealed outer polyethelene bag which- (i) is
of such a size as to
accommodate a label of twelve by twelve centimetres;
(ii) is transparent; and (b) a sealed inner polyethelene
bag of
a thickness which is not less than- (i) 0.07 millimetre
when the contents weigh less than one pound; (ii)
0.1 millimetre
when the contents weigh more than one pound. These
regulations shall not apply to a specified substance
sold to the public
in the package in which it is imported. To
