Abstract
Part I deal with the preliminary and general interpretation
of the Act.
Part II deals with the national plant protection office and
Part III with the containment and eradication of pests. Section
10 is concerned pest quarantine area and section 11 with
the revocation of quarantine areas. The control of such areas
is found in section 12. Section 15 deals with the pest surveillance
programme and section 16 with the specific pest infestation.
The imminent risk of infestation on premises not under quarantine
is explained in section 17.
Part IV deals with the import and export. The import requirements
and inspections are included in 19 and 20 respectively.
Part V deals with the enforcement by the authorities and
they have wide powers by virtue of section 26.
