Noise
Prevention Act

Abstract
This Act deals with any breach of the regulations
under section 3.
The regulations as set out in section 3 include the prevention
of noise, sounding motor at any specified time, the restriction
or altogether of use on licensed premises of any trader,
of any gramophone, loudspeaker, or other mechanical or electrical
device for producing or reproducing sound, unless the sound
produced cannot be heard outside those premises and the prescribing
measures for the prevention of noise or sound which, either
on account of its volume or on account of the time at which
it is produced, or both constitutes an unreasonable interference
with public comfort.
Section 4 deals with the offence under section 3 and prosecution
for the breach by the police or any officer by the Authority
is by virtue of section 5.
