Board of Agriculture and Natural Resources Act 1977

Abstract

This Act deals with all matters of general policy relating to agriculture, forestry and the utilization and preservation of natural resources and the environment in Mauritius.

There is established a Board consisted of members and representatives assigned by the Ministry of Agriculture (section 2 and 3) to advise the Minister on matters of general policy relating to agriculture, forestry and preservation of natural resources (section 4).

Any matter that requires expertise or technical assistance, the Board will appoint experts for that purpose (section 7) and the expert may tale part in proceedings if the Board without however the fight to vote.

There shall be set up for the purpose of all administrative expenses a Consolidated Fund (section 8)
