Forests
and Reserves Act 1983

Abstract
An Act that deals
inter alia with nature reserve and forest, the prohibition
and
restriction of access, the boundaries of national forest
and any endangered
species.
Section 3 and 3A of the Act deals with a Nature Reserve Board and the Control
of Access to the nature reserves respectively. Whilst section 5 deals with
the survey of mountain reserves, section 6 deals on the other hand with the
appeal
procedure regarding anyone who is dissatisfied with section 5.
The removal of trees and brushwood require authorization under section 8 and
section 12 deals with Power of search, seizure and arrest by a forest officer,
police or any authorized officer who reasonably suspects an offence is committed.
Section 14 and 15 deal with the offences and penalties respectively.
