Act 1939
Abstract
An
Act that deals with the supply of electricity to public
and private bodies.
By virtue of section 3, this Act applies to any person or bodies for the general
supply of electricity.
Section 4 of the Act provides for the application of permits for the supply
of electricity in bulk to a Board. Section 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, deal with the issue
of permits and objections by those who are affected.
Any person or body who contrary to section 32 commits an offence shall on conviction
be liable to imprisonment and a fine.
Section 47 provides that the Board or any inspector to enter prosecutions for
offences committed under this Act or under any Regulation made under it, and
all penalties, fees, expenses and other money recoverable under this Act, the
recovery of which is not likewise specially provided for, may be recovered
summarily.
