Abstract
This Agricultural Chemist Act
(“Act”) deals with
the analysis of agricultural substances, chemicals and product
within the trade and industry of chemists. Under section
3 of the Act, a committee is set up and is composed of representative
chosen by the Minister to whom the responsibility for the
subject of Agriculture is assigned.
Sections 5 and 6 deals respectively with the register and
registration of agricultural chemist and section 7A and B
with the register and registration of approved laboratories
respectively. Subject to section 4 of the Act it is the Committee
which decides with any issues regarding the registration
of chemist and this according to their terms and conditions.
Section 9 of the Act deals with offences for failure to
register as an agricultural chemist, to register the laboratories
or to make an analysis of any product or substance used in
agriculture without registration.
